DALLAS - The Greenville man wanted since mid-April for the shooting of a fellow resident is awaiting extradition to Hunt County following his capture Tuesday.

27-year-old Antonio Dewayne Butler was taken into custody in Dallas that morning in the 5400 block of Jim Miller Road without incident.

According to Police Chief Dan Busken, “The Greenville Criminal Investigations Division and the United States Marshall Service Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (FAST) have been working diligently to take Butler into custody.”

Meanwhile, the shooting victim, Waylon Duffy, is said to still be recuperating from his wounds but is expected to make a full recovery.
