New Commerce ISD Trustee Sworn In

Commerce ISD

COMMERCE - Etta Herring was appointed to the Commerce School Board this week to fill the vacancy left by Medley Wilson.

Herring has three children who have attended Commerce schools. She joins the seven-member panel of Commerce citizens that meets monthly.

Wilson, a supervisor of plant management at L-3 Communications, did not run for reelection in May and no one campaigned for the empty seat. He joined the Commerce ISD Board in 2006. Wilson’s two children are graduates of the district.

Trustees also this week welcomed new High School Principal Adam Rupert, who served in Allen for five years and previously was employed at Greenville and Whitesboro schools.
