GREENVILLE - Officials with the city, TxDot and Hunt County will host the open house session, scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center.

The proposed two-mile stretch of the four-lane divided roadway would run from State Highway 66 to SH 380. The project was approved as part of the Small Area Plan adopted last year. A study performed ahead of the plan's adoption in 2011 found that FM 1570 carries between 3,500-8,500 vehicles at SH 66 and SH 34/Jack Finney Boulevard, respectively.

TxDot says they’re exploring a number of options for roadway alignment.

This week’s session comes as officials prepare to finalize the expansion of Highway 380 west of Greenville from two to four lanes, expected to be completed in October.
