Two Local Burglary Suspects Arrested

On Friday, Dec. 6, the Delta County Sheriff’s Office, Highway Patrol and Game Warden executed a search warrant at the Cooper Apartments in Cooper, Texas and two suspects were taken into custody for burglaries. Delta County Criminal Investigator Ryan Brown led the effort and was assisted by Deputy Adam Hall, Deputy Marshall Lynch, Deputy Roque Villarreal, Highway Patrol Dustin Hunter, Highway Patrol Tim Keele and Game Warden Chris Fried.

The search warrants and subsequent arrests were made after information was received concerning possible stolen property in a pawn shop in Commerce, Texas.  Suspect Bradley Jay Jones of Cooper, Texas was arrested for Class A Misdemeanor Burglary of a Vehicle and Suspect Deborah Malm Moore, also of Cooper, Texas was arrested for Second Degree Felony Burglary of a Habitation.

Sheriff Ricky D. Smith said, “We have continued to experience several burglaries in Delta County, however, we have focused significant resources on solving these cases and preventing future burglaries.  I encourage all Delta County citizens to remain alert and to call the Delta County Sheriff’s Office about suspicious activity and/or suspicious persons.”
