Beer and wine go on sale in Delta County

Cooper Review editor Cindy Roller reports beer and wine have gone on sale in Delta County, following the election last May.  A special guest on this edition of the Blacklands Cafe, Delta County Judge Jason Murray, says the beer-and-wine sales will help retailers, but it remains to be seen if they will boost the tax revenue for the county.  Other topics are the new cotton gin in Delta County and a new fire truck for the East Delta Volunteer Fire Department.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
