State Budget Cuts Look Likely Next Year

Texas A&M University-Commerce economics professor Dr. Dale Funderburk reflects on a recent Dallas Morning News article reporting that, because of the downtown in the oil industry, it looks increasingly likely that the state legislature will enact budget cuts when it meets in January 2017.  Governor Greg Abbott has asked state agencies to prepare spending plans reflecting a 4% budget cut.
