Hwy. 19 Repairs Underway; Cotton Harvest Festival Oct. 8

Cindy Roller, the editor of the Cooper Review, says major repair work on State Highway 19, which runs between Sulphur Springs and Paris, is underway and is expected to be complete by Monday, September 26.  The reconstruction of State Highway 24, which runs through Cooper from Commerce to Paris, is expected to take another year to finish, scheduled for completion in fall 2017.  The first Cotton Harvest Festival in Cooper is scheduled for Saturday, October 8, with vendors, live music, a carnival and other attractions.
