Dr. Karri McCreary, co-owner of the Greenville Animal Hospital, says she and others in Hunt County Pets Alive regularly transport shelter pets to New York and Wisconsin, where they find new homes. She says people are needed in Hunt County to provide temporary foster homes for shelter pets while they're waiting to be transported.
