Dr. Karri McCreary, co-owner of the Greenville Animal Hospital, says pet owners must take special precautions in the summer. Dr. McCreary says pets should have all their vaccinations before they travel, and inserting a microchip is also a good idea. And she says dogs traveling in cars should have a safety harness.
