Delta County Sheriff Ricky Smith reported the transition to digital radios has been completed in a brief Delta County Commissioners Court regular meeting.
“It has worked extremely well,” said Delta County Sheriff Ricky Smith. He hopes to get some encrypted channels to prevent outside interference. “We can talk to other surrounding departments with ease.”
He also reported 10 inmates currently in jail. His report was accepted by the Court.
The bills presented were paid, and former court minutes were approved. Citizens are reminded the County Clean Up week will be May 25 through June 4, 2018. Dumpsters will be available at all the precinct barns.
The next Commissioners Court will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 9 a.m. on the third floor of the courthouse.
