Commerce Chamber Accepting Items For LED Boards; Volunteers Needed For Bois D'Arc Bash

KETR

Commerce Chamber of Commerce manager Paul Voss says a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place recently for two new LED message boards that are now in service, notifying passersby of events taking place in Commerce.  The boards are located at the entrance of the Magnuson Hotel and Wal-Mart, and at the City Park.  A third board will soon be operating on Culver Street near the Commerce Middle School and A.C. Williams Elementary School.  Those with a message they'd like displayed on the boards may send the message to: lacey.dingman@commercetx.org.  Also, Paul says volunteers are needed to help with the annual Bois D'Arc Bash, Friday and Saturday, September 21-22.  Volnteers may call (903) 886-3950.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
