Texas A&M-Commerce athletic director Tim McMurray says he has known new head football coach David Bailiff for nearly 20 years at Southwest Texas State (now Texas State) and as a competitor when Bailiff was head coach at Rice and McMurray was in the SMU athletic department, and calls Bailiff a "players' coach" who is "unbelievably plugged into high school football coaches in Texas." Bailiff will be introduced in events today (Dec. 12) at 11 a.m. McKinney ISD Stadium (where the NCAA Division 2 championship game will be played Saturday) and at 3 p.m. in the Sam Rayburn Student Center at A&M-Commerce.
