Commerce Mayor Wyman Williams says the City Council is considering promoting economic development through "opportunity zones" allowed under the federal tax law. The mayor says the council approved a conditional-use permit requested to allow a "bar, lounge or tavern" to open on Main Street in downtown Commerce.
