Emily Glass, Alliance Bank vice-president and former Sulphur Springs mayor, says the city council took no action after an executive session on a personnel matter concerning long-time city manager Marc Maxwell. A large crowd of citizens attended the meeting and all who spoke supported Maxwell. The council also set public hearings on Tuesday, January 7 and Thursday, January 9 on the annexation of the former Thermo mine property.
