Commerce ISD has announced Knutson's funeral has been scheduled for Saturday at First United Methodist Church.

The Commerce Independent School District has announced the death of longtime Commerce teacher and school counselor Anna Knutson.

A statement made on a district Facebook page said “Mrs. Knutson dedicated 29 years of her life to students, and touched the lives of countless students and staff members during her time here. Her husband, Mr. Bill Knutson, also retired from Commerce ISD and continues to teach our Pride Prep college-level math classes. Her kind and compassionate nature was felt by all who had the pleasure of working with her. She was a mentor, a friend, and a confidant to so many of us, and her legacy will continue to live on in the halls of our schools.”

Knutson's funeral has been scheduled for Saturday, February 18th at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Commerce.
