Texas A&M University-Commerce athletics director Tim McMurray says his department has reviewed its policies and procedures following the dismissal of  Baylor head football coach Art Briles resulting from the program's handling of sexual-assault allegations against Baylor players.  Tim says a Lone Star Conference media day will take place in Midland-Odessa on Thursday, July 28 to welcome the University of Texas-Permian Basin, Panhandle State and Western New Mexico to the conference.  The three schools will begin play this fall.  Tim also says the A&M-Commerce Athletic Department has been working on a new strategic plan, and fans will begin to see an improved fan experience at football games and other athletic events this fall.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
