Sulphur Springs Mayor Pro-Tem Emily Glass says the city is ready to take over possession of the former Thermo coal mine owned by Luminant Mining. The city is studying possible uses of the 5,000-acre property, including its use as a park. The event, with the theme "Bras Rock," takes place starting at 6 p.m. Thursday night (Oct. 11). Money is raised from votes for the most popular artistically and humorously decorated bras.
