The Square in Cooper is undergoing some repairs now that the weather has turned nice. The cistern openings on the south side under the Square are being filled with cement along with new rings and lids for safety stated City of Cooper Mayor Scotty Stegall. The cisterns were used years ago before there was running water to help in situations of fire.
Crews also repaired a water line leak on the northeast side of the Square and were doing repairs to the sidewalk ramps.
