- Expand the capabilities, awareness, and exposure of KETR’s own newsroom. In 2018, KETR was awarded its first Regional Edward R. Murrow Award. All Things Considered Host Scott Morgan’s feature “Does Texas Have a Hog Problem? Yes. So How Did We Get Here?” won for Excellence in Sound in the awards’ Small Market Radio category for Region 6. The “Early Voting Turnout in Lamar County” story by Morgan was ran on NPR’s Morning Edition, and a story covering the swelling voter registrations in Collin County in the 2018 election was cited on the Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC.
