Steve Killian, superintendent of Cooper Lake State Park, says the park observes its 25th anniversary this weekend (Oct. 15-16). A 10 a.m. Friday ceremony at the Doctor's Creek unit starts the event. The Sulphur Springs Community Players will perform a variety show at 7 p.m. Friday night at the Honey Creek Amphitheater, and the Reilly Springs Jamboree will give a concert at 7:30 Saturday night at the Gulls Bluff Boat Ramp, both in the South Sulphur Unit. Admission to the park is free Friday and Saturday.
