Pud Kearns with Housewarmers of Greenville says volunteers are needed to help place American flags on the Audie Murphy Overpass south of downtown Greenville for Memorial Day on Thursday, May 26.

Pud says Tim and Aletha Kruse and their family have installed American flags and crosses at this spot to mark the holiday since 2012. The Kruse family will have everything marked and ready for you to help install all the crosses and flags. Also coming up next weekend will be "The Great Duck Derby," a race of rubber duckies benefitting the Hunt County United Way at Splash Kingdom at 12 noon Saturday (May 21).

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
