Greenville Police Offer 'Summer Of Safety' For Kids; Juneteenth Celebration Saturday

Pud Kearns with Housewarmers of Greenville discusses a series of Greenville Police Department activities planned for youngsters called the "Summer of Safety."

They include giving away popsicles from police cars July 1-8, the Teen Police Academy July 18-22, a hunter education class August 4-5, and a splash-pad hot-dog-and- movie party at Ja-Lu Park at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, August 13. Pud also relates plans for the Greenville NAACP Juneteenth celebration from 2-6 p.m. Saturday (June 18) at Graham Park in north Greenville.
