Sarah Latham, Rains County Agrilife extension agent, relates plans for a food-handling course at 10 a.m., August 8 in Emory.

Sarah says the course provides food-safety certification for people who participate. With the summer heat showing no signs of abating, Sarah also provides a chart showing general summer food-safety practices.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
