Big Friday Night Scoreboard Program - Week 0

The wait is finally over, and High School Football has returned! The Commerce Tigers season began at North Lamar versus the Panthers on Friday. KETR has the audio highlights from the game, plus scoring results from other games across the region.

Scoring was fast and frequent during the Tigers vs. Panthers game with only few missed extra points separating the tally, but the Tigers chalked up the win at the end of the night, starting their season on the winning track. Final score Commerce: 42 North Lamar: 25.

The Commerce Tigers next opponents are the Cooper Bulldogs on September 6th at Memorial Stadium in Commerce.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt moved to the Sulphur Springs area in 1990 and settled in Commerce shortly thereafter. Having dreamed of working in radio since childhood, he began working at KETR while taking Radio-Television courses at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1993. Daniel Starks

Daniel was born and raised in Commerce, TX, and has been a life-long listener of 88.9 KETR. After listening to ‘The Art of Sound’ with Mark Chapman as a child, he enjoyed the thought of being able to broadcast across NE Texas. He is now a Radio/Television student at Texas A&M University-Commerce and hopes to continue his work in radio after he graduates. He has been heard in the past as the host of ‘All Things Considered’, ‘Movie Picks with Alice Reese’ and ‘The Morning Bell’.
