Emma Anderson is KETR’s podcast aficionado and conducts all sorts of tasks related to off-air audio from mixing to hosting and production. Emma is a graduate of Greenville High School and and current student in the Texas A&M University Commerce- Honors College. She is double majoring in Journalism: Broadcast and Visual Communication: New Media as well as double minoring in Math and Computer Science. 

Emma is a native Northeast Texan, and currently lives in Commerce where she enjoys her dogs, video games, art projects, writing, skating and her sorority- Kappa Delta. Emma’s goal is to work tirelessly to bring KETR into the growing podcasting world.

Author Arthur C. Clarke once said, "Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying." Science fiction has become a huge part of our culture today - humanoid aliens are often featured on television and in movies, but life out there may not be anything near what we imagine.

College students right now are the political leaders and creators of tomorrow. Most college students don't know how to pay taxes, yet, they are expected to be able to comprehend what is going on in the world right now, and make decisions based on this knowledge.

Slang is an defining part of many generations, the terms and meanings change over the years but the purpose remains the same. In this comedic episode of Points of Interest host Emma Anderson and guest Zach review  words and phrases often used by their generation today, and they attempt to put definitions to each. Zach also reviews a few terms he has learned that are different from this area of East Texas to show how slang can differ across the United States!
