Hearing set in Hunt County murder case

By Brad Kellar

Greenville – A hearing is scheduled later this week in a Hunt County capitol murder case.

21-year-old Tracie Danielle Alphin, of Quinlan, had been scheduled to go to trial earlier this year, but her case was postponed while awaiting DNA test results.

A new trial date has still not been set for Alphin, although a pretrial hearing will take place Thursday.

Alphin is one of two people, along with David Earl Hickman, of Royse City, charged in the death of Jason Harrington. Hickman is currently set for trial on August 2.

Harrington disappeared in October 2008. His body wasn't found until more than a month later along a county road, with multiple gunshot wounds.
