Greenville – A jury is chosen in the trial of Lanny Dean Campbell, of Wills Point. Opening arguments and the start of testimony is scheduled for Tuesday.
Campbell was arrested in January 2010 in connection to the shooting death of James McKinnis. Prosecutors have subpoenaed ten witnesses to testify during the trial.
Quinlan Police found McKinnis' body after responding to a call of shots fired at a home in the 2400 block of Cottonwood. He was reportedly a visitor at the home when the disturbance occurred.
