SULPHUR SPRINGS - Final approval of the issuance of nearly $4.7 million in revenue bonds will be considered Tuesday as part of a special meeting by the Sulphur Springs City Council.

The money will be used to renovate the old library building into a new city hall, street and park improvements and other projects.

The city contracted with KBL Restoration last November for the library renovation effort, which is expected to take about a year. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in March. Upon completion, most city administration offices will make the move next door. The current municipal building at 125 South Davis will continue to house the Sulphur Springs Police, water and utility departments.

Tuesday’s special council meeting begins at 7 p.m.
