Carol Taylor, the chairman of the Hunt County Historical Commission, has been studying Depression-era federal building projects in Greenville and elsewhere in the county, and she discusses a project led by the Greenville Garden Club in the 1930s. The club received a grant from the Public Works Administration to put "rip rap" -- rocks and boulders -- on the banks of the Town Branch Creek.
