Justice of the Peace Ginny Phifer

The family of Ginny Phifer would like to invite all to join in celebrating her life and legacy on Saturday, May 5 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Cooper with a casual dress code.

Phifer passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018. She was 53 years old. Phifer had been suffering from illness since January 2018 which prevented her from attending the candidate forum. However, her husband, Brad Phifer, spoke on her behalf expressing how much she truly loved her work in Delta County.

She had been serving as the Justice of the Peace for Delta County and was recently re-elected in the Republican Primary. She was active in her faith and community including her local Lions Club.

She is survived by her husband, Brad Phifer and their children: daughter, Cortney Phifer, son Ryan Scott Flanary and wife Hannah, daughter Whitney Flanary and Josh Hicks, son Christopher Phifer, son Landon Flanary and Nicole Sowell, as well as by her father, John (Dub) Henry Goforth and sisters Kimberly Jones and Peggy Coffman among other family and grandchildren.

Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home in Commerce is handling the services. Please feel free to leave condolences at the link below:
