Emily Glass, vice president of the Alliance Bank in Sulphur Springs and former mayor, discusses the decision of the Sulphur Springs City Council to provide City Manager Marc Maxwell with a new five-year contract.  Late last year, the council met in executive session to discuss Maxwell's employment status with the city.  After a meeting in which many citizens turned out to support Maxwell, four city council members resigned.  Six council seat are now up for election in May, with the deadline to register on February 15.
