Jan. 7 Morning Newscast: Greenville ISD advisory board recommends bond items

Suggestions include a new Greenville Middle School.

  • The Greenville ISD school board advisory committee has proposed three possible bond items for facility improvements, including a new middle school and improvements to existing facilities.
  • Hunt Regional Healthcare has resumed issuing regular statements on the COVID-19 situation in the county. Hunt Regional has also requested, but not yet received, supplies of monoclonal antibodies proven effective against the omicron variant. Antibody infusions will not be available until the shipment arrives.
  • The City of Paris is proceeding with a plan to return downtown streets to two-way traffic. Stop signs planned to take the place of traffic lights at certain intersections have been received from the manufacturer, the Paris news reported.
