Dr. LaVelle Hendricks, professor and head of the Department of Psychology and Special Education at Texas A&M-Commerce, says the annual observance of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day takes place at 2:30 p.m. Sunday (January 16) at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 202 Champion Lane in Commerce. Numerous individuals will be recognized for their contributions to civil rights and social justice in the Commerce area.
