Night on the Prairie
Night on the Prairie
Experience the prairie after dark! Join us for Night on the Prairie, an evening adventure where families can discover the magic of nighttime wildlife. Listen for owl calls, learn to identify frogs by their unique songs, and take a guided night hike across the prairie.
Explore the fascinating world of nocturnal insects during a mothing demonstration with the Blackland Prairie Texas Master Naturalists, and meet Dr. Bryon Clark as he shares the incredible lives of the bats that call BPRC home - with hands-on bat tracking fun through immersive echo-locating experiences!
Enjoy a beer, cider, wine, or non-alcoholic beverage from Y8TS TAPS Mobile Beer Fridge, and grab some delicious BBQ from Smōk'd TX BBQ!
Bring your curiosity and sense of adventure for a night of discovery under the stars.
In partnership with Sensory Days Dallas, a Quiet Area with sensory-friendly activities will be available at all family events.
A Note About Weather:
Because this is an outdoor experience, the event may be postponed if we’re experiencing heavy rain or lightning at the scheduled time. If that happens, you’ll be able to join us on the new date or use your ticket for a future First Saturday event. If neither option works, please consider your ticket a donation to BPRC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Federal Tax ID: 20-1305421). Your support means so much.
