Plans Set For Bois D'Arc Bash In Commerce This Weekend

Paul Voss, the manager of the Commerce Chamber of Commerce, says plans are complete for the 31st Bois D'Arc Bash Friday and Saturday (September 23-24).  The featured musical performer at 8 p.m. Saturday night on the downtown square will be 13-year-old Kadie Lynn, the teenage girl from Northeast Texas who had success on the "America's Got Talent" television show.  The Dallas dance band The Wonderfuls will perform for a street dance on Friday night. (Saturday night's musical event is also considered a street dance.)  Paul says the Chamber hopes for more than 12,000 people to attend the Bois D'Arc Bash events this year.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
