Malinda Allison with the Friends of the Honey Grove Public Library looks ahead to a launch party for the historical novel, "More Than Words Can Say" by Texas writer Karen Witemeyer, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (June 15) at the library in downtown Honey Grove.  A previous novel, "More Than Meets the Eye," is set in nearby Pecan Gap.   Witemeyer was recently voted the no. 1 Readers' Favorite Christian Romance Author by Family Fiction Magazine, and has received numerous other honors.  A bake sale will take place at the event, benefitting the library.  The Honey Grove Preservation League and the Honey Grove Chamber of Commerce are other sponsors for the event.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
