Commerce ISD Studies Funding New Middle School

KETR

Commerce ISD supintendent Charlie Alderman says the school board will create a steering committee to study calling bond election to finance the construction of a new Commerce Middle School.  The current middle school was originally the Commerce High School building and was opened n 1968.  The decision to have a bond election this fall must be made by mid-August.  Also, Charlie says the board has decided to use surplus funds to put artificial turf on the Commerce High School football field, and we discuss the state champion Commerce High School robotics team.

John Mark Dempsey is the host of the public interest program The Blacklands Café from KETR News. Dempsey is also the play-by-play announcer for Commerce Tigers Football on 88.9 FM and on ketr.org.
