Starts at Court House parking lot, moving South on 1st NW Street to Clarksville Street, turn east on Clarksville St. to 12th SE, left on 12th SE one block to Lamar Avenue, proceed West on Lamar Avenue returning to the Court House parking lot.
Downtown stores will be open and other planned activities for the day.

Rockwall celebrates Independence Day this year with a parade running through downtown, starting at 11 a.m. and running until noon.

Live music and fireworks will take place at Harry Myers Park later in the evening.

This event is free to attend and open to the public.

Red, White, and Crafty is a hands-on, craft-focused summer program that invites young creators to explore art, tradition, and community through weekly creative projects. Meeting on Thursdays in July, each session features a new themed craft inspired by history, seasonal celebrations, and classic American pastimes. This program also connects to America250, encouraging participants to reflect on shared traditions and creative expression as we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States.

From festive decorations and collaborative art to sweet summer treats and fiber crafts, participants will enjoy a relaxed, fun-filled environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and self-expression, all in the historic setting of the Sam Bell Maxey House.

Dates: Thursdays in July

Time: 2:00 pm (end times will vary based on activity)

Ages: All ages!

Fee: $3 per participant for each class

The 60th Annual Ladonia Rodeo kicks off on Friday and Saturday, the second weekend in July.
Live music will also be on-site, along with concessions and plenty of Rodeo contests.

Anyone else feeling the Texas heat yet? Beat the heat with a FREE WATER BALLOON FEST at the Maxey House!!

Wear your bathing suits and join us at 10:00 am on July 11th as we toss balloons, enjoy some wacky water balloon races, and play some yard games after everyone dries off!
