Auditions for this comedy will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 March 20 at the Greenville Municipal Auditorium. More information is available at
gtwlive.com/auditions.
For those wanting to audition for an acting/singing role (Lead, Supporting, or Ensemble): Please plan to attend Actor/Singer auditions on either Thursday March 19th OR Friday March 20th. For those selected, in person callbacks will be held Saturday March 21st. All those called back will be required to attend Dance Auditions on Saturday March 21st following Acting/Singing call backs. Anyone that auditioned for an acting/singing role but was not called back may attend Dance Auditions for a spot on the Dance ensemble/Dance team, if you would like.
For those wanting to audition solely for a role on the Dance Ensemble/Dance Team: Attendance at the in person Dance Auditions on Saturday March 21st is required. For those selected, Dance Callbacks will immediately follow Dance Auditions.
For All: Dance in tennis shoes, barefoot, or dance shoes. Please wear clothes that are easy to dance in (preferably not a skirt or dress). If you are wanting to wear something specific for Actor/Singer call backs, a change of clothes would be required. If chosen for a Dance Callback, tap dancing will be expected so please bring tap shoes if you have them. Tap shoes are recommended but not required.
Please note that 9 to 5 The Musical contains mature content, adult language, and themes revolving around feminism, misogyny, and sexual harassment. Scenes may contain blocking and interaction to support ideas of workplace misconduct, etc. An intimacy and fight choreographer will be hired and utilized for this production for the safety and comfort of all those cast in roles requiring them.
Please also review character descriptions as some characters may require specific costuming.
Keep in mind that the age breakdown is just a suggestion, if you believe you are a good fit for a certain character, come and audition. If you have the right voice, look, or vibe, you may just get the part!
For Actor/Singer auditions:
Prepare up to 1 minute of a selection from a musical of your choosing. Please be prepared to sing acapella or along to a track, a speaker will be provided at auditions. Be prepared for a cold reading from the musical. Sides will be provided upon your arrival to auditions.
