Follow a self-guided tour around Willow Wild Cemetery (1220 W. 7th St.) in Bonham, TX, or join a guided walking tour at 10:30 a.m. as you explore the history made or witnessed by those buried at Willow Wild. From military veterans to missionaries and more, see how we all make history in our own ways. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. In the event of bad weather, this program will be held on November 8th from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The Sam Rayburn House State Historic Site is leading this program. The Family Campout will offer groups an evening of fantastic discovery after hours! Our programs include team-building activities, the opportunity to experience Texas wildlife, s’mores, and more. Experience what it’s like to be a member of the Heard’s nightlife. And enjoy a night that your group will never forget! Spots are limited, so be sure to get your tickets now. Reservations required.This program is available to families with kids recommended ages 5 through 17. Each attending group must have at least 1 adult per 4 children to provide supervision.

Holidays at the Heard brings the beauty of the holiday season into nature. Bundle up your family, get out of the house, and experience the most unique family-friendly holiday event in North Texas. Holiday lights and décor will accentuate a lovely half-mile Heard nature trail. Your family will be enchanted by this nighttime hike through the woods. Also, you’ll get a glimpse of the Dinosaurs Live! exhibit along the trail. In keeping with the Heard’s role as a nature preserve, this light display is designed to enhance, rather than overpower, the sanctuary’s natural beauty.
