Celebrate nearly a century of music, tradition, and community at the 95th Annual Athens Old Fiddlers Reunion & Contest, one of the premier Texas fiddle contests in the state. This historic event brings together master fiddlers, rising stars, and multi-generational families for two days of incredible live music, lively jam sessions, and authentic Texas culture. The fiddle contest at the Texan Theater features all-ages divisions from “Junior Junior” to the Lone Star Fiddle Championship (Open) with over $10,000 in prize money, making it a must-see event for music lovers and visitors to Athens, Texas.

Experience the excitement of the Street Dances on the Courthouse Square with live music from Jody Nix and his Texas Cowboys and The Craig Howell Band, and don’t miss new this year: Armadillo Races! Enjoy the Bacon Auto Ranch Classic Car Show, the St. Edwards Academy Family Fun Zone with games and activities for family, and a Food Truck and Community Market offering local cuisine, artisan treats, and handcrafted merchandise. Everywhere you go, live music and Texas-style fiddling fill the square. Bring your chair, your family, and your love of music—join us for a weekend festival in Athens, TX to remember, and be part of the countdown to our 100th anniversary!

Hell of the North Texas

Inspired by the most legendary one-day race in the world—Paris-Roubaix (aka “The Hell of the North”)—we bring you a Texas-sized tribute rooted in our very own Paris.

Staging from Paris, Texas, this event utilizes significant segments of the Northeast Texas Trail (NETT) between Clarksville and Roxton, combined with the rugged county roads that crisscross the region. Just like its French counterpart, this course is designed to test your mettle, your equipment, and your resolve. It serves up a mix of pavement, gravel, and rail-trail “sectors” that will rattle your bones and fill your heart.

Choose your fate carefully. We offer a distance for every level of sinner and saint.

The Greenville Farmers Market is officially one month away, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for the 2026 season!

The Greenville Farmers Market will be open each Saturday, starting on April 11th and running through November.

It's all happening at Market Square (2203 Lee Street) as we kick off another great season of fresh, local goods and community fun. The market runs every Saturday from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with a few vendors opening early at 8:00 AM.

Sulphur Springs presents Spring Market on Main Street on Saturday, April 18! The event will include plenty of spring items, clothing, crafts, decor, food, and gifts for sale. Entry is free. Downtown Sulphur Springs (Main street)

The Bonham Farmers Market is held every other Saturday from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., starting April 4th and running through October 31st, 2026. It will be outside the Creative Arts Center, located at 200 W. Fifth Street in Bonham.
