In partnership with the Honors College at East Texas A&M University, this summer discussion series is designed for current college students, high school students preparing for college, parents, and community members interested in learning more about navigating the college experience successfully.
Over the course of several weeks, participants will discuss Hacking College and explore topics such as:*Study skills *Time management *Campus involvement *Networking*Making the most of the college experience
The study will be facilitated by Dr. Erin Webster Garrett and Wyman Williams..

Books will be provided to participants at the first session.

The Hopkins County Dairy Festival kicks off this weekend!
The ribbon cutting ceremony takes place at noon on Friday, at the Celebration Plaza in downtown Sulphur Springs.
Saturday will have a number of fun events, including the Dairy Festival parade through downtown Sulphur Springs at 10 a.m., a milking contest, an ice cream freeze-off, and more!

Bread of Life Food Pantry distributes free food to those in need. Family and Senior Commodity Boxes available at all distributions. Located at 301 Hwy 224, Commerce, TX. Most boxes consist of canned vegetables, rice, pasta, peanut butter, cereal, juice, and canned meat. We also offer frozen meat, bread and fresh produce when in stock. New clients bring a photo ID and proof of address. For example, current utility bill. Our distribution days are the first Friday after the first Wednesday 10:00am – 2:00pm for seniors 60 plus, and everyone younger from 12:00pm – 2:00pm and on the 3rd Wed of the month from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. We also offer Emergency Boxes to families who can’t wait for a distribution day. Volunteers and donations are always welcome. Thank you.
