Take your best shot with your team of 4 as you move around a 12-station course set by Olympic Champion Dan Carlisle. One golf cart per team, ammunition, snacks, and lunch are provided. Tthe next free "Soup Day" at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall is Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11 a.m. The monthly free meal will be Hopkins County Stew with trimmings and iced tea, and everyone is invited to fill their bowl, sit down, meet new friends, and enjoy fellowship. City of Greenville Parks & Recreation Department offers their Spring free movie event showing Pixar’s “Cars.” There will be FREE kids meals from Dairy Queen & Zaxby's beginning at 7pm (while supplies last)! Adult meals will be available for purchase. The city will have a large inflatable screen, and speakers set up so you can sit in your cars or bring blankets or lawn chairs if the weather is nice. You will be also able to tune in on your FM radio. The movie will begin at sundown, approximately 8:00 pm.

For all you adults out there – do you remember when you used to have fun hunting eggs at Easter when you were kids? Well, now is your chance to experience again the excitement of an Easter egg hunt, only this time at dusk and with the opportunity to receive some great prizes. Easter After Dark will start at 7:30p.m. on Friday, March 27th at the Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum. There are all sorts of prizes in store for everyone who participates! Prizes will range from candy, automotive supplies, restaurant gift cards and gift certificates all the way up to tickets to the Texas Motor Speedway Nascar race, admission tickets to a number of museums in Dallas and Fort Worth and small and large cash prizes, including one egg with $75! These are just some of the prizes we are gathering to fill those 800 eggs for everyone to find!
As a nod to those of the older generation (65 and older), for the first eight minutes after the starting gun goes off they will hunt on one side of the field and the younger generation will hunt on the other side. Turn an evening of fun into a weekend getaway by spending the night after the event at a local hotel or bed and breakfast. Treat yourself as you explore all of the neat prizes you just won!
Tickets to the event cost $12 if purchased in advance or you are a member of the Museum and $14 the day of the event. There are a limited number of tickets so people are encouraged to buy them ahead of time. You must be at least 18 years old to participate. Rain out date will be March 28th. City of Greenville and Hunt County residents have a permanent collection center for disposing of hazardous household waste products. This is available to residents of participating cities and residents in the unincorporated areas of Hunt County free of charge.
Important: The facility will be open on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month from 4 p.m.- 7 p.m.and on the 4th Saturday of each month from 8 a.m.- noon.

Outdoor Writer and Radio Show Host Luke Clayton presents his Annual Ron-de-Voux - a celebration of all things outdoors.
