The 40th Annual Bois d'Arc Bash begins Friday night with live music performances by Jeremy Bellamy from Commerce (5pm), Panimation Steel Drum Band from East Texas A&M (6pm), country music by Cameron Allbright Band from New Braunfels (7pm), and headliner Libby Lane from Midlothian (9:30pm).

Saturday morning will begin with a 5K run at 8 a.m., the Bash Parade at 10 a.m., and live music, games, bands and much more throughout the day. The music lineup includes the Dixieland Jazz Band (Noon), Northeast Texas favorites The Blandelles (1:30), Cross Trails Band (5:00), Country/Southern Rock sound by Tim Branch (6:30), and culminating with the George Strait tribute band Strait Country (8:30).

Happening in downtown Rockwall, the San Jacinto Plaza Music series is bringing you live music on Friday and Saturday nights through October!

Friday, Sept. 25 will feature Rock/Country music by Kevin May W/Shem Ray ; Saturday, Sept. 26 will have bluegrass/country/blues group Ten Dollar Band as the headliner.

Sulphur Springs Senior Citizen Center is hosting free poker games each Tuesday at 11 a.m.

Happening on campus at East Texas A&M University, in Talbot Hall, it's the 29th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival!

The festival is an event hosted in over 500 venues across the globe. Hundreds of short film submissions have been narrowed down to 10 finalists, which will be shown in Talbot Hall of Languages Room 203.

You'll be able to watch the films, and then vote for your favorite. This event is open to students as well as the general public.

College students can gather for a meal and supportive fellowship. Someone will be available to talk to and pray with and study the Bible for those needing that service.

The 7 p.m. show this Friday, is "Magic Globe: A Story of the Seasons", followed by "Passport to the Universe" at 8 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person, per show.

Magic Globe:
On vacation at her grandpa’s, a little girl named Mia accidentally discovers a mysterious piece of astronomical machinery. Edmund, Mia’s eccentric uncle, tricks the girl into using the tool’s secret powers to change the world’s seasons. She realizes the consequences of her actions, but Edmund doesn’t want to let the plan go.

Magic Globe is an engaging story designed to interest and challenge children from 5 to 12 years old. It has a clear educational structure with all science-related topics broken down into manageable chunks and naturally woven into the storyline. It allows children to recap knowledge they already have as well as learn multiple new concepts while following the story, which makes it perfect for mixed-ability audiences.

Passport to the Universe:
Fly beneath the rings of Saturn, float through the heart of the Orion Nebula, and plunge into a black hole during this captivating introduction to cosmology.

Passport to the Universe explores humanity’s place in the cosmos, bringing audiences on an unforgettable journey from Earth all the way to the edge of the observable universe.

The Greenville Farmers Market will be open each Saturday through November from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with a few vendors opening early at 8:00 AM.

The Bonham Farmers Market is held every other Saturday from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., starting April 4th and running through October 31st, 2026. It will be outside the Creative Arts Center, located at 200 W. Fifth Street in Bonham.

The Hunt County Master Gardener Association presents its annual Fall Plant Swap! Plants must be in containers/cups, marked, and identified. The public is welcome to bring plants, bulbs, seeds, etc.
