The 7 p.m. show this Friday, is "Magic Globe: A Story of the Seasons", followed by "Passport to the Universe" at 8 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person, per show.

Show descriptions:

Magic Globe:
On vacation at her grandpa’s, a little girl named Mia accidentally discovers a mysterious piece of astronomical machinery. Edmund, Mia’s eccentric uncle, tricks the girl into using the tool’s secret powers to change the world’s seasons. She realizes the consequences of her actions, but Edmund doesn’t want to let the plan go.

Magic Globe is an engaging story designed to interest and challenge children from 5 to 12 years old. It has a clear educational structure with all science-related topics broken down into manageable chunks and naturally woven into the storyline. It allows children to recap knowledge they already have as well as learn multiple new concepts while following the story, which makes it perfect for mixed-ability audiences.

Passport to the Universe:
Fly beneath the rings of Saturn, float through the heart of the Orion Nebula, and plunge into a black hole during this captivating introduction to cosmology.

Passport to the Universe explores humanity’s place in the cosmos, bringing audiences on an unforgettable journey from Earth all the way to the edge of the observable universe.

Happening in downtown Rockwall, the San Jacinto Plaza Music series is bringing you live music on Friday and Saturday nights through October!

Friday, Oct. 2 will feature Americana/Folk music by Colin Boyd Trio ; Saturday, Oct. 3 will have pop/folk/ blues artist Ryan Berg as the headliner.

Homecoming Alumni & Friends Oktoberfest: Friday, October 2, 2026, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

East Texas A&M alumni and friends will gather for food, drinks and fellowship to open Homecoming weekend. Admission is free. The event is limited to faculty and alumni.

Friday Night Lights: Friday, October 2, 2026, 7 to 9 p.m.
West Walking Mall, East Texas A&M University

East Texas A&M University will hold Friday Night Lights on the West Walking Mall as part of Homecoming weekend. The event will include carnival rides, food and music. It is open to the general public, students and alumni.

Homecoming Tailgate Emerald City Band: Saturday, October 3, 2026, 3 to 5 p.m.
Field south of Memorial Stadium, East Texas A&M University

A pregame tailgate will take place before the Lions football game, with a performance by the Emerald City Band. This 13-member Dallas party band formed in 1983 and plays high-energy dance classics and contemporary hits with a three-horn section. The group performs more than 300 times a year and has played weddings, corporate events and Super Bowl XLV.

President's Tailgate: Saturday, October 3, 2026, 3:30 to 7 p.m.
Lakeside Pavilion, East Texas A&M University

Celebrate Homecoming with the Lion family at the President’s Alumni Tailgate! Enjoy food, beverages, live music and plenty of Blue and Gold spirit before cheering on the Lions against UTRGV. Say Hello to 88.9 KETR, enjoy some music and grab a free keepsake!

Free for Alumni Members; $20 for Non-members.

The Greenville Farmers Market will be open each Saturday through November from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with a few vendors opening early at 8:00 AM.

Homemade baked goods
Specialty foods
Handmade crafts and artisan products

It’s the perfect way to spend your Saturday morning. You can shop local, support small businesses, and enjoy everything Greenville has to offer.

The Bonham Farmers Market is held every other Saturday from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., starting April 4th and running through October 31st, 2026. It will be outside the Creative Arts Center, located at 200 W. Fifth Street in Bonham.

The Hunt County Master Gardener Association presents its annual Fall Plant Swap! Plants must be in containers/cups, marked, and identified. The public is welcome to bring plants, bulbs, seeds, etc.

This event will be happening rain or shine!

Join us at Authors Park next to the Commerce Public Library on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of October and November from 9 a.m. until noon.

The Fall Market will feature live music, local vendors, and more. It'll take place in Authors Park, next to Commerce Public Library.

At this event you'll be able to view rare unique and cheap books donated from across Hunt County! Books will be available on topics ranging from old fictions told on the dusty pioneer trails and western fictions written for a modern reader, to Military and Texas history and cookbooks pulled straight from true Texan kitchens to make good homemade meals for your family and many more topics.

Book prices range from an average of 1-5 dollars with rare books peaking at $15. This event is FREE to attend and browse. The event will occur Saturday on the front porch of the Audie Murphy/ American Cotton Museum. Come find your newest read or add to your collection amongst the rare and unique books you won’t find in your local bookstore!
